There is nothing wrong with stress in our lives. Most people need a little healthy stress to feel sufficiently challenged and feel good. Stress, however, becomes a problem if it remains chronically present.

Stress is not only caused by external factors but can also be caused by yourself. This could take the form of excessively worrying about something that may or may not happen or irrational pessimistic thoughts about life, for example. Taking insufficient care of your body (unhealthy or irregular eating, insufficient relaxation or exercise, poor sleep, etc.) can also cause stress.

Stress reduction with the Fitbees Programme

At Fitbees we work optimally on stress reduction by identifying the causes of stress among employees and paying attention to a healthy diet, sufficient exercise, a good sleeping pattern, an efficient time management system and working on positive thoughts. Various techniques are also used to improve relaxation and focus.


The Fitbees Programme is based on the scientific guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC)* for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, on the guidelines for the prevention of Type 2 diabetes and on the Belgian consensus on nutrition, exercise and sedentary behaviour. In addition, many studies have already demonstrated in detail that a healthy lifestyle can also drastically reduce the risk of other conditions (back and neck complaints, depression, certain cancers, etc.).
